art THERAPY
About
Mixed media collage art classes which can produce sophisticated finished pieces you’ll be proud enough to display or gift. Come, relax, create in a guided or free flow way while we talk about what it's like being a caregiver, or neurodivergent. It truly is "art THERAPY" —a safe space to open up, decompress, cry it out, even make wild art that speaks to your current circumstances and feelings.

Kathleen Day Gomez is an internationally published multidisciplinary neurodivergent contemporary artist, intuitive life coach, author, and mother of a talented autistic child. Art has been an integral part of her daily life since childhood, and she began her professional freelance art and photography career immediately after graduating high school in 2000.
Her tactile art contributions and installations have been featured in numerous art magazines and continue to be showcased on international platforms and galleries across the globe, including recent exhibitions in London, UK; Shanghai, China; Frontone province of Italy; and Stuttgart, Germany.
Since 2012, Day Gomez has instructed children (from ages 2 and up) and adults in various art mediums, holding community workshops and offering private mentoring sessions. Her dedication to the arts and education has earned her recognition, including the Mentorship Award via International Star Kids [India] in 2023 for her contributions in Art & Publishing. This year, she is being honored as the Fashion Artist of the Year, 2024, at the Trailblazer Awards during Texas Minority Fashion Week.
Through her global platform at PEPPER Magazine—awarded Magazine of the Year (2022 & 2023 via the Texas Fashion Industry Awards) and Best Magazine of 2023 (via POPsonality / Spain)—Kathleen continues to host workshops and has plans to expand her mentoring reach internationally.
